Looking Back

Looking Back

I am regret
The forgotten me
My chosen path
Lost destiny

It all went wrong
I tried my best
A people pleaser
The world my guest

A supersized doormat
They wiped their feet
The door wide open
Overwhelmed by deceit

Abscent of truth
Void of loyalty
The more I gave
The less for me

So how to trust
After so many lies
My heart on my sleeve
I must open my eyes
