Looking For A Leprechaun

Looking For A Leprechaun

Today I’m going to dress in green, St. Patrick's truest shade;

I’m also going to keep a sacred vow, that to myself I made!

So I’ll go searching for a Leprechaun, to make my wish come true;

For if I find one then instead of gold, I’ll be asking him for you!

The legend says they’ll give you anything, to untie and set them free;

And the greatest treasure I could want, is to have you here with me!

They possess some magic powers, to grant your heart’s desire;

So I’ll go hunting with the dawn’s first light, my legs will never tire!

I’ve been doing some reconnaissance, for many, many weeks;

And found a forest where I think one hides, the first place him I’ll seek!

I’ve heard they’re sly and tricky, that they’re very hard to nab;

But I’ve designed a special lasso, which him will easily grab!

He’ll squeal and scream real loudly, and beg me set him free;

I’ll answer “I’d be glad to, if you’ll grant one wish to me”.

He’ll say “That’s just some folklore, the legend be untrue”;

But I’ll keep him tied up many hours, till he finally gives me you!

My Dear Brother Tony,

I've got the little bugger tied up right now as we speak.  Of course, he's trying to pull the Irish Legend bullshit on me, but I can hold out as long as it takes, because I'm no "greenhorn" when it comes to getting my way.  I'll keep you posted.

Peace, Love and Rockets,

Larry xxx

Larry, a chara...

You need to be very careful when dealing with na Sidhe!! Capturing them, holding them hostage and ESPECIALLY negotiating with them can be an extremely hazardous endeavour and is not to be treated lightly or as a joke!!

My advice; if it's not already too late: is to always keep in mind that, no matter how things may seem, HE has the upper-hand in all your dealings...not you!! He allowed himself to be captured because you have something he wants...and he'll get it no matter what the cost...to you!!

Tread carefully, my dear friend. The last thing I want is for you to become just another fairyfolk statistic!!

My Dear Friend Jason,

I appreciate your concern for me, but I'm going to tell you something which I did not include in my poem, that will allay your fears.  Before deciding to attempt this undertaking, I read heavily about the "na Sidhe".  Just as you have said, I learned that they are treacherous and I could easily become one of their victims.  So, realizing the dangers involved, I went to see my Rabbi and explained my precarious position.  He said, "Not to worry my friend, I will send with you a great protector who will take care of everything.  Join hands with me and repeat these ancient chants."  I did what he asked, and five minutes later a monstrous Golem was standing next to us in the Rabbi's study.  Needless to say, my mission succeeded with flying colors. (green, of course)

Peace and Love,

Larry, my ingenious friend...

A Golem!?! That's brilliant!! It would never have occurred to me to elicit the services of a Golem; loyal, invulnerable and incorruptible: a Golem is the perfect ally/weapon in such an endeavour.
