Looking Forward to Change

I never once thought
for a moment
I would ever be forced
to admit that
both life and love are
such fragile,
and transient things ..
Like flakes
in a snow globe, spilt,
scattered
and broken ..
Yet I hope now more
than ever ..
She is proper grown
and no longer
the same spoilt child
that she was
all those years ago ..
When we met
