Losing you.

Just a few more tests the doctors say,
As we watch you fade away.
Just a few more tests, some bloods to be done,
Don't panic they lie, this thing can be won.
OK they say their faces grim,
Its plain to see their is no win.
Prostate, lungs, stomach and neck,
And leukemia too, what the heck?
Months they waisted doing tests after test,
No day to spare, no time to rest.
Chemo was refused they said it's gone too far,
But they don't blame their selves not a word not a mar.
Months and months they took, saying just prostate,
They made you take your time, but there wasn't any time to wait.
It's never been said much, but you know that I love you,
It wasn't said much, I took for granted there was plenty of time to!

Hello Carrie...
They have me the run around with my Mother and when I was finally to get her an appointment, I had to call cancel it because she died a few days before that appointment I fought so hard to get...
I hope this isn't true for you if it is I'm so very sorry that you had to experience it too...
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...
Hugs...

Hi Sparrowsong,
I am so sorry about your mum, unfortunately, it is almost the very same storey as yours sounds, but this is my step father of 33 years, we have waited months for an appointment, then monts having tests, they said it was probably nothing to worry about at the beginning, then they tell us he has all those cancers in one man, and it is too aggressive to treat,
thank you for your kind thoughts x x x
What a heart felt piece. My love and prayers go out to you and your family xxxxxxxx
Thank you for your thoughts Lucy x x x
