Loss

A begger holding out his cup,
Remembers when he ran out of luck,
Use to fight for money in a cage,
One fight too many he engaged
All he has left is some spare change and and brain that's rearranged,
Turned to the drugs for the pain in head,
Tonight he will choose heroine again,
Instead of a bed,
A boxer steps in to the ring to to spar,
He dreams of being a big star,
His lungs are full off tar,
And he doesn't own a car,
But he never lowers the bar,
Always believes that he will go far0
