Lost

Challenge by Poetessdarkly

Lost

She slips in and out of consciousness,
Alone in the dark,
Sneering at the bumptious,
Adrift midst murk on barque.

In solitude on lonely waters,
Her mind in a state of immure, sheΒ remembersΒ what her father taught her,
Spite sorrow & avoid it's allure.

Unable to expatiate,
Express her truthful tone,
No one will ever appreciate,
She is but all alone.
