LOST IN A CAR

Nothing is worse than being lost in a car
Surely my destination can't be all that far
I will pull over I think I'll ask this oldish man
I'm sure he'll direct me the best way that he can

I listened hard to what the man had to say
He said politely that I'm going the wrong way
He smiled to himself and then started to grin
I listened again the directions were to begin

Turn right and then left and then right once more
Go straight ahead then just to be safe and sure
Pass the pub and the windmill on the right
Then dear sir your destination will be in sight

I thanked the oldish man and started to leave
The oldish man though had a trick up his sleeve
He didn't like tourists and that I guess was me
My destination still unfound just fields and a tree
