Lost Love...

We first met in a game, so long ago, 
We were best friends, we never let go, 
Played so many games, and pranks, 
That you were I friend, I'll always give thanks. 

Slowly as time passed, love grew, 
I got so attracted, addicted, to you, 
And then I found you loved me back, 
Together, there was nothing we could lack. 

So many nights we stayed up late, 
Even though only online, you were the best date, 
I loved you with all I had, 
You were so much more than a passing fad. 

I should've known that when my friends got upset, 
And they blamed you, and hadn't forgiven you yet, 
When they asked me choose, "You or them?" 
When I chose you, the hatred began to stem... 

You were there then, my comfort while I fought, 
"I'm happy I have you" was my foremost thought, 
I knew from that day on I'd never let you go, 
But of course my 'friends' couldn't let that be so... 

For a while they just watched, in hate, 
Then began spreading lies at an enormous rate, 
Told him that I hated him, and just to leave me alone, 
And sadly he believed them, our love was overthrown... 

I tried to say it wasn't true, 
Haven't I proved my love for you? 
At first he listened, saw the truth, 
Then my friends got more uncouth... 

I still don't know what they said, 
But that night I cried in bed... 
He was gone, would not come back, 
The lonliness was a painful smack... 

Still, I try to talk to him, 
Tried everything, but it's just a whim, 
He won't respond, won't even look... 
I can't replace the piece of heart he took...
