Lost lover

Lost lover

I close my eyes and the flashback starts
To the first day we met
Back to the sound of the waves
The silky and tickling feeling of the sand between my toes

Your beaming smile and glowing eyes
Your sun kissed hair
The scent of your skin that reminds me of the ocean
The ocean that broke us

Hot tears push past my eyelids
As I see our last day together
The day the ocean turned against us

I see your beautiful face
Pale face, cold and lifeless
I open my eyes as I stare at the ocean

The cold vicious ocean
The ocean you loved
My chest tightens as l send you back to the ocean
Back to the salty breeze

When I think about
Della Laurel
I can’t wait to see her tomorrow
And watch her grow...

Breathing you

Love is like an invisible string,
You can feel the pull and attachment towards another person...
