Lost on a mountain...

150 precious lives they board the plane as madness thrives,
In one man's dark and desperate mind, as fate's delivered sealed and signed,
The German-wings flight is set on track, on a flight of self destruction where there'll be no coming back,
As into the sky the air bus soared, as the passengers chatted and engines roared,
Then came the swift unplanned descent, as upon mass murder one man's Hell-bent,
There in the distance the French Alps stretched, a landscape portrait so many times etched,
Straight into the mountain precise and exact, the final, fatal, forced impact,
Into flames the plane then burst, as the Devil's desciple he did his worst,
Now all that remains on a mountainside, fragments of metal where so many died,
And a group of school children just starting their lives, set out on a journey where no one survives,
And a newborn baby where pain does enhance, not one single person that day stood a chance,
A meaningless action all logic defied, as the seed of destruction it flourished inside,
So let's pray to the angels in Heaven above, to cradle those children and bask them in love,
All the innocent lives that one man stole away, lost on a mountain on a dark lonely day.

may you be blessed for immortalizing them..........hugs
Wow, what a powerful poem that you created here, I would literally imagine the horror to the unseen sights, such a sad event, that happens time after time. Some of your words, also made me think of the cruelty at the 9/11 event in New York, when the  twin towers were sent crashing down. The lives lost to every event such as these is unimaginable. I often wish to take away the pains, felt by the family members shocked by the loss, as well as pray for eternal peace for all those who have died. I feel so much sincerity in this poem you write, that I have to send you hugs and love. As well as my five star vote, and my applause
Sincerely
