The Lost Seasons

The Lost Seasons

The Lost Seasons

Once on fire in sweet September.
Once a river I half remember.
Names that faded far too soon.
Lighted meadows from a silver moon.

Leaves that drifted in the air.
Changing to the color of her hair.
The silent lake a cry of a lonely loon
You are fading from me like a forgotten tune

Rain that touches like a kiss.
The glow of you I always miss.
Snowflakes falling without sound.
On my love sleeping in the ground.
