Lost Something

Have you ever lost

something that you love

it really sends you crazy

no amount of searching is enough

It becomes central to your mind

nothing else seems to matter

everything else is forgotten

even forgetting to buy fish batter

You think back in your mind

to when you last saw it

and eventually your mind speaks

making you feel such a nit

Now it’s always the same

why did I not remember?

it must be the age thing
