Love

To rise every morning and wish your lover well,
But not to cast them under a controlling spell,
To embrace them for their ambitions, loves and indeed hates,
To gently encourage their their own personal path without dictating,
To bring nature to their hearts with every meeting,
To have no expectation other than the beautiful times you explore,
To go forth with passion for life together and see the world as your stage floor,
To encourage independence but also loving care,
To bring beauty into their lives with every intense stare,
To climb those mountains and ford many rivers,
To this I add love is the beautiful expression of humanity we have,
If you find it cherish it and hold it in your palm like a silken rose,
We are all of heart and we can love like doves and swans in their most gentle repose
