Poem -

Love All Over Me

I'm just looking out my window
Seeing the yard and the woods
Many reasons to be thankful
You know that is true for me and you
But my heart has a hole in it
Wounds you left me are not healed

I pray that I'm not destined to be alone
There is a hole in my heart
A wound that is not dressed and won't heal
Scared to trust myself again
My heart aches for love anew
But I'm still left here with a aching wound

I want a man to love
A man's touch to heal
Holding, carressing, caring, healing the wound
Loving all over me
The smell of love
All over me

A man that is kind and gentle
Put your love all over me
Someone to love and support me
Filled with lots of love for me
Escaping in arms that love me
The way God meant it to be
Love all over me
I want the smell of love
All over me
All over me

When someone we dearly love leaves us, whether it be because of illness and death or they simply decide to walk out of our lives one day and never look back, it rips a huge, gaping hole in the fabric of our hearts.
They take a piece of us with them when they leave.
All fabric can be repaired, and depending on how good the seamstress is that stitches the hole, it can be almost undetectable.
But no tear can be so expertly sewn as to be completely invisible. No matter how skilled the one doing the sewing might be.
The evidence there was once a tear there forever remains.
I had a hole ripped in my heart nearly five years ago and it still hasn't healed.
They say time heals all wounds?
I'm living proof that's just not true.
Nicely penned, Terry.

Β There's comfort in someone understanding and going through the same emotions. Nobody wants to hear the same heartaches we are expected to get over it.Β  Understanding helps healing indeed and not feeling so alone, Thanks for your kind words and sharing..
