Love and Marriage

Love and Marriage

John and I have been engaged
For fifteen years or so
Will we ever be wed?
I don't really know

We're still deeply in love
He's sixty-five and I'm seventy
So what do we need marriage for?
It's certainly not a priority

We have each other
To support and care about
No rings on our fingers
But our love is in no doubt
