LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

I missed it all 
The singing and dancing 
The red carpet invitation 
And my annual attendance 
Of the White House crystal ball.
My tuxedo was laid out 
Designers shoes spit sine 
But when you entered the room 
I lost track of time.
Spellbound by your beauty 
And intrigued by your smile 
My emotions was a roused
And my timid heart became wild.
The minute I held your hand 
I experienced my first sight of romance 
And all of those invitations 
That once brought me pleasure 
Could not stand a chance.
