Love Poems.

I wrote you love poems
as I waited in the train station.
So very long ago.
When steam drove the trains
And soot landed on my notepad.
You arrived and threw yourself
into my loving arms.
Your bright sun yellow dress
lighting the dark station
and my heart.
God I loved you
My poems still say how much.
Time has weighed heavy on us
You struggle now to be free.
I do not fight to keep you.
To blow my last breath
on the ashes of what was us.
Leave me then,
take it all
I don’t want it.
Go back to Smokey train station
and board the next train
in its grey clouds of steam.
Leave me here alone
in my armchair.
where I will continue
to write love poems to you.
Poems that you
will never understand.

A Simple, humble poem with a touch of melancholy,
Congrats. Keep writing more
