Love Stole
Dedicated to Ceri
Love stole all my diamond dreams,
And threw them back at me.
Shattered them and scattered them,
For each and all to see.
But I shall not shed a tear,
And I will not hang my head.
I pitied Love and walked on,
For I'll dream new dreams I said.
Dedicated to Ceri, deputy head gardener at The Enchanted Museum.
A good person with a good heart and thank you for your kindness.

Wonderful poem shaun
Greg thank you so much for your kind comment sir and this is for a superb person and gardener where I'm fortunate to work.
She and her tireless team make the enchanted museum and its grounds a blessing for all who visit and happily work there.
Thanks again Greg and I'll be reading you soon sir.
This is brilliant Shaun...I love the lines
'Shattered them and scattered them,
For each and all to see'
lovely verse x
Marion so good to hear from you and what a most generous and gracious comment.
And truth be told this is rewritten a tad and now I'm happy with it and dedicated to a most generous person and blessed gardener you could ever hope to meet.
And I'm fortunate to have tomorrow off and will be using that time to visit your poetry neighbourhood, for this catch up kid has a lot of catching up to do.
And I can PROMISE you that my friend and this struggling so so poet always keeps his promises.
Thanks again Marion for being so bloody generous and any feedback from your good self is more valuable than mere gold.
Mr Sandman and The Land Of Nod calleth me now, for it has been a long demanding day, but I was fortunate to meet some wonderful and inspiring good people who visited St Fagans.
Good people all of them.
For, it's the little things that make this world go round.
The human touch.
And I'm glad it's that way.
See and read you tomorrow Marion, nos da and big hugs to you my supportive and inspiring friend and glad you enjoyed it.
Shaun.x. ❤️
Oh Shaun! This is beautiful and brilliant and bloody true! I can relate soooo well to this and so I have pinned it to read and read and read again...and again. Each and every perfect line touches the heart and soul of your reader...well, it did mine. I have to say, your work is always of such a high standard.
I was just going to pick out my favourite lines but then I realised it would be the entire last verse and then I knew I couldn't single that out because the first verse really spoke to me too. So, upshot is I cannot pick out my fave bits cos I adore the whole poem. It is short, sweet and to the point in a most beautifully eloquent way. Top work my friend and I want to award it a billion stars not just 5 x
Tina, thank you so much for your priceless words and more than pleased that you enjoyed reading it and also that you have taken so much away to dwell one.
It is as you say "short, sweet and to the point" for I mulled over another verse but that would have killed it, for sometimes less is more.
And apologies for this late reply and yesterday just did a load of replies and missed you. Clearly I should have gone to Specsavers and bad puppy!
Good luck on whatever you're currently writing and I wish you well my friend.
Thanks again and simply enjoy life. x.

And you will always keep it that way my friend.❤️
❤️❤️❤️
very interesting poem Linda
Linda many thanks and glad you found it interesting.
Stay safe and stay healthy, I wish you well and thanks for reading.
Wonderful dedication Shaun. Marion beat me to the lines. For some reason those ones really stood out to me. This is a delicately penned piece of poetry. Your words touch the readers heartstrings. Fluid and a beautiful keepsake for your friend x
Gwen, Marion's like that she's the poetry mama of " beat me to the lines."
Thanks for your most kind and gracious words and this reply proves I surely am Cosmo's late reply master who revels in his work, surely up for some Cosmo award!!
Thanks again and keep writing and I'll keep reading my friend. x.
Thanks Sean for this delightful poem for which I am very happy to have a dedication - most kind and much appreciated - a beautiful piece of work and one with a good, resilient spirit - many thanks x
Ceri glad you liked it and forgive this poetry fool's late reply and it's as you say all about spirit and that determined resilience to overcome life's obstacles, to move on.
You can also call me Sean if you want, for my name tag identity museum id is always back to front.
And truth be told because you don't wear one due to gardening duties I had to ask whether your name was spelt Kerry or Keri or Ceri and was rewarded with the Welsh one. Mystery solved.
Thanks again for all your kindness and that plant is still going strong in all weather's and like your poem resilient.
See you soon and you keep our museum and all its grounds so beautifully well presented and full of vibrant colourful life for visitors and staff alike.
You're that good. x.
there is absolutely nothing not to like about this little dedication, yet so much to love, as indeed I did & pinned it too, just to prove my point .. N:)
Neville many thanks for kind words sir and glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the pin also.
And on here, Cosmo it's not about stars, likes, pins or even pins or competitions it's about the words, where poetry is the winner.
Thanks again Neville and respect to you my friend.
You are more than welcome Shaun, a man of my own heart .. maybe we should form a cult :)
