LOVE STRUCK

I stood across the dance floor
Transfixed by your beauty and splendor
Until the time I saw your face
Even my name I could not remember.
Seeing you was love at first sight
My heart was beating like a drum
My feet felt like led in my shoes
And my entire body became numb.
Then you looked at me
With eyes so bright
And a smile that captured my heart
For the very first time I experienced love
Without words, you took me apart.
There I stood in a crowded room
But only your face I see
How I wished I had the nerves
To say, Please!
Dance with me..
