LOVE THAT LASTS IN LIFE
There's many people that come into our lives for different reasons...
Sometimes, the times are cut short...
Soul mates are what they are...
We all have them and we call them friends...
Twin Flames is another connection...
Knowing each other on a deeper level from many lives ago and will always know them in lives later...
There's still a difference when you have a life partner...
It's not always gazing at each other but, looking forward together...
We all have many Soul mates but, if lucky enough a love that lasts in life...

In my 8000 large community of Indians I have got to see, I have seen too much of lasting lifelong love and most of them didn't have the movie like hot love affair prior to marriage so I feel many are lucky like your poem sings of in last line. Some are such lovebird soulmates that I know closely so I understand what you talking about in this sweet lovely superb dreamy poem. I have also observed that those who cohabited in hot extreme love physical contact prior to marriage their love lasted only a few years.

There was actually studies done on this and they came to your same conclusion...
I met a couple who are celebrating 58 years of marriage together this year and my parents were going to be celebrating their 50 th but, they died just months before their anniversary...
The first year of marriage is the hardest and when the fire burns prior to marriage it takes a lot of work to keep it burning...
Not everyone wants to begin and nurture a Romantic Spark until, they say I do...

I have observed the same conclusion for decades so I'm glad if researchers came to such a conclusion as well. Most marriages don't last long that begin with movie style overly passionate contact affairs. Take care. ?

Elderly people are so awesome especially, when it comes to peoples curiosity...
For as long as I could remember marriage scared the bazookers out of me...
When I would see couples I would ask them how long have they'd been married and if the response was a few years because, they waited until they were 80 and figured they're old enough so why not...
I would congratulate them and wish them the best...
When they would say 20 years, that's great...
My brother was married for 25 years and they divorced...
When they say 40, 50 they definitely have my attention...
What's the secret?
Some say Patience, some say Trust, and the ones who seemed the most in love like teenagers said they didn't like each other at all at first...
But, the one thing they had in common was they dated...
They didn't have sex but, they dated and for to know each other......
Marriage joined them heart, soul, and body...
Keep up the wonderful research...
There's lots and lots of wonderful stories out there...
I think my downfall is I'm just quite partial to integrity...
