Love Today For Tomorrow

Love Today For Tomorrow

'Hey, when will I see you again?' she said,
I said: 'We'll make a plan,' which we did;
she had climbed into my car, as we were,
and I remember she said: 'This is more kosher.'

She was Russian, taught me numbers one to ten,
and then 'beautiful,' others and 'I love you,' again;
I felt like James Bond coming in from the cold,
it was true but don't believe everything you're told.

There was no time, only for Russians and Chinese,
they were Chinese if you please, Chinese if you don't please;
we sat by a pool, said she bought the house for a song,
it was time to go before the maid came along.

There had been a montage of fancy lights above the bed,
flashing your life away in shades of pink and red.
