Love as a wish

I see you there,
eyes wide open,
alight with the fire that burns behind them,
arising from the pounding beat
flowing through my system.

Your skin to touch
I wish so much,
if only this could lead to lust.

The ground unstable
its hard to focus
that smile has cursed 
my balance un-noticed.

The pain takes over
as you walk away,
the heart explodes
in so many ways.

At least I know my dreams await,
where everlasting tales of us take place.
