Searching endlessly,
Deep into the night,
Wondering so deeply,
With all of your might.
Where does your heart lie,
Does it beat within your chest,
Can you hear it cry,
Can you figure out what's best.
The moment you realise it's better to have loved and lost,
The seconds you hold onto, 
Because it's impossible to let go.
I gave my heart away,
I gave it happily,
I gave it in faith & there it shall stay,
I cannot take back what is not mine.
Keep it safe,
As you always have.
I may never get to collect it.
But at least we will always have our time.
Time that was so perfect,
In every single way.
