A Lover's Confession

I lay in my bed spending my time thinking of you,
and my heart singing of its love and it's truth.
Sometimes I cry for fear; or if I'm just confused,
but as I console my heart I learn its surely you.
A heart beat faster than the drums of the wild,
the stars seem to be dancing in my lonely eyes.
The moon is whispering a strange secret to me,
"You love her more than the birds do the skies"
Like the morning orange as the sun sets ablaze,
a magnificence of colours across the sky's face.
Songs of ambience serenade the world's hour,
and so does my heart but only in your place.
Even cupid cannot instigate such a strong love,
so powerful and overcoming any strains of lust.
The heavens weep from losing you from above,
You are not just a soaring bird; you are my dove.
I want you to understand why my heart sings,
a tale of you as my queen if I were to be a king.
No price on this melody; destiny and memories.
and at the end of the road a shiny diamond ring.
I confess to you that I love you beyond words can say,
beyond any poem that rhymes and so perfectly arranged.
If Romeo loved Juliet than I tell you I love you more so,
and engraved in the centre of my heart is your name.
