LOVES FORGOTTEN IN SONG

Baby maybe you can teach me
too love,love again
long forgotten drowned in feelings pond
my love was hung in nights only shame
traitors they gathered and in harvest took my all
sat upon thrones of bedding i was disowned
words thry trickle like knives to complain

Baby maybe you will tell me
i can love again
drifted against so much wire
branded and half insane
fortune was the soldier
love in his aim

no corrected sentence can ever cease the frame
but maybe your gods answer
maybe i will love again
ghostly corners call me
they always know my name
featureless panorama slaps my face

so will you hold me
and let me love again
times slavery has left me older and tamed
possessions i will bury
in lovers unfilled grave
so baby let me love again
