Low Tides

Low Tides

Low Tide

It is  a day  without you
an eternity with no ending.
The old tired desolation
returns to my soul.
like the windswept dunes
with seagrass bending .
Moaning wailing winds
fill the air and my heart.

The sea is far out with low tide.
pulling away from me
by a distant jealous moon.

Flood the waves back

to my feet this night
my love
and reflect the light
of countless brilliant stars.
