Lucid Dreams

Lucid Dreams

The moonlight shines down like a spotlight
I try to speak, act, dance
Nothing

Shadows of applause surround me
Darkness closes in
I did nothing

Fear festers like a fatal wound
Tears cry from inside
Screams roar from inside
You hear nothing

The anxious applause comes to a halt
Silence envelops the morose room
Despite the spotlight beaming down ever so bright
You can do nothing
