Luck of the eye rush

Took my hopes with me, to my grave.
Tossed them in, then suddenly, was saved.
All my thoughts you've buried at sea.
Then dared to wonder why I'm so deep.
My eyes? Keep closed, trying to find myself.
While always asking if you need help.
I'd bury my bones in the basement of my dreams.
Seems someone's stolen my skeletons key.
My spirits drown in happier hours.
Punch drunk, crazy and empowered.
I let you in. You've killed my dreams.
Then simply rolled over, went back to sleep.

Enjoyed the read...thank you
You're welcome. I just got on here. I have lots and lots to put up.
such a wonderful poemÂ
I can really feel the emotion, beautiful!
Thank you. Coming from you that means a lot. I've been reading some of your stuff and you're very good... Typically, I don't read poetry because I don't want to  emulate or be influenced by another's style. But, I've been writing quite some time now and I think I'm safe enough where I can branch out and chance it.
Thank you for your compliment. Any input from you is appreciated.

OMG! Well done! The breadth of this effort to emote is staggering. Metaphors Are GO! I love how familiar all the avenues pretend to be familiar to my inner demon that writes too much.
I very much like your work!
I'm trying to write this morning, but I'm stuck reading your stuff! For Shame!
August, I found myself nearly blushing when reading these comments. Wow! Because, you see, to me, you are like.....amazing. You have one that tears me up every time. Its the only poem I have pinned. Ever! Lets say something!
So your comments on my humble words took me quite by surprise. Almost like Sylivia Plath says, Damn! So....wow! Keep up the good work of reading my stuff!
Thank you! Coming from you, that truly means A LOT.

So happy to revisit This One!!!
so happy to have you reading my stuff!!! Thank you! How are things going for you?
For me, they've been better. April 27th, my wife committed suicide. It's been rough for me. I often think of your line, 'drooling loss' - which describes how I feel quite well.Â
Thank you for your kind words and reading my humble drivel!
