Lucky To Get Away

Lucky To Get Away

He was born unwanted
Mother threw him away
Waiting in a hospital crib
He got a new family

Thought his dreams came true
That someone would love him
Well, soon enough he found out
He shouldn't have let them in

He grew up broken
Never wanted to trust anyone
The way people treated him
He learned that the hard way
Now he's too broken

He never understood
Why they'd say that
But when he had to cry
The bathroom's where he sat

He blamed himself
For what bullies said
Soon enough
He was almost dead

After that moment
He survived
That scared boy
Started to rise

He decided he had enough
Of being treated like this
So he said "damn all of it,
I'm gonna be tough!"

Now he doesn't care
What they say
He became free that day
He was lucky to get away
From all the misery
