My sweet lullaby,
how I miss you so. 
You've left me alone
with nowhere else to go. 

I lay awake staring
at the dark abyss.
Longing for your touch
and a sweet forbidden kiss. 

So long it has been
since I felt anothers touch.
Maybe it's like the wind
impossible to clutch. 

Your soft delicate lips
...I think that's what they were. 
Or were they callus and rough?
It's all such a blur.

I don't remember your hair,
or your face,
nor the color of your eyes
that twinkled with such grace.

Will you come back? 
Or shall I die this way?
Waiting and wondering
will today be the day?
