"The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum"

"The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum"

I will confess my weaknesses to you, I will acknowledge my sinfulness
But I will not stand before you, and tell you I'm insane
Just because you're a doctor of medicine does not make you a better man
Often it is only a small thing that troubles and depresses me
And in my heart I determine to act more courageously
But when I come to you expressing exactly what I feel
Why must you use condescension and offer me a pill
When I think that I'm somewhat safe because I'm not under fire
It's just then, that you come at me, effectively calling me a liar
How can you lump me in with every lunacy that you've ever seen
It seems I get my best advice from others here who have this pain
I admire their opinions more, even if their in a medicated haze
Because I think their diagnoses, more accurate, and that you can't deny them
It seems to me that soon you'll see, The lunatics, have taken over the Asylum......

You know whats going on my friend....
And those telling you different
Heed these words that you send
Your message of truth
Behind madness needs voice
As the pills only scream
A pharmacy's rejoice!

Great write matey!! x

A good piece that sheds light on the difficulties of modern medicine. Doctors seem to dish out rather than dig deep and try to find out. Pills are the easiest option. Well done sweety. G xx
