Lust For Revenge

Lust For Revenge

He shot his friend while hunting and said he mistook him for a deer.
But the jury didn't buy it and he will be in prison for sixty-five years.
He said that he thought it was a deer that he was shooting at.
He thought he'd get off but the jurors weren't as blind as bats.
It was common knowledge that his friend was sleeping with his wife.
He shot him in cold blood and he will be in jail for the rest of his life.
Everybody in town knew what his friend and his wife were up to.
His attorney tried to convince the jury that it was an accident but they knew it wasn't true.
Because of his anger and lust for revenge, his friend is resting in peace.
He thought he could fool people but he didn't fool the jury or the police.
He may still be alive when he's released but that's something I doubt.
He's thirty now and he will be ninety-five years old when he gets out.
He has three children who will have to be raised without a dad.
He threw his life away because of his lust for revenge and it's sad.
