Mad Mum

Mad Mum

I hear the patter of tiny feet.
Maybe I should quickly get something to eat
or should I have a cup of tea or even just a very quick pee?

Sometimes I just want a smaller bum
or even some damn good fun.
I'm like my Mum we have the same smile
And we don't mind walking the odd mile.
I'm like my Dad happy or Sad
and we both used to like the occasional fag.

Some days I'm high some days low
But i always know which way to go
Even if I'm late by the school gate
I always make sure there's a truly good dinner on the plate.

I really loved the poem. It was very true to life. Cos as a mother myself ,I can relate to what you wrote. I also enjoyed the humour involvedΒ
