Magnificent Joy

Onward oh beast of joy's opposition
Thou canst not stay above
Such outwardly magnificent joy
In that early evening peach grove
As sunlight begs to differ

I pray on things unbeknownst
To the dew of morning's glitter
Whether the sun will drench the face
Of the magnificent joy
That perpetuates a smile upon the face
Of the soul's shine
-------------------------------------------
Where morning fairies dance
Familiar ballets and string quartets
Creating happiness of the heart
So softly tip-toe upon petals
That glimmer with a magnificent joy
--------------------------------------------
A kindly magnificence
That trickle luminous fibers
Where singular butterflies
Come to briefly alight
And spread the pollen
Of magnificent joy

Onward oh beast of joy's opposition
There is no joust for you here
When the solitary poet
Can strike you down
With phrase after phrase
Of magnificent joy
-------------------------------------------
Surrender old friend
For the smile of God
Has arrived before you.....
