~ MAGNIFICENT JOY ~
Onward, oh beast of joy's opposition
Thou can'st not stay above
Such outwardly magnificent joy
In that early evening peach grove
As sunlight begs to differ
I pray on that which unbeknownst
To the dew of morning's glitter
Whether the sun will drench the faces
Of that magnificent joy
Which perpetuates a smile upon the faces
Of the soul's shine
Where morning fairies dance
To familiar ballets and string quartets
Creating happiness of the heart
So softly, a tiptoeing upon petals
Which glimmers with a magnificent joy
A kindly magnificence
That tickles those luminous fibers
Where singular butterflies
Briefly alight
And spread the pollen
Of magnificent joy
Onward, oh beast of joy's opposition
There is no joust for you here
When the solitary poet
Can strike you down
With phrase after phrase
Of magnificent joy
Surrender old friend
For the smile of God
Has arrived
And glows upon your face
Of magnificent joy......
