Magnificent Soul

Magnificent Soul

When life becomes overwhelming
making me feel swept away and burnt out,
I fold my wings and bend my head down.
In the silence of the night I hear the stars calling…
I shake the ashes and look up,
I see my wings slowly unfolding
and my heart’s desire to stand up.
If tomorrow the leaves are falling,
if by the evening I bend and fall,
I will look again at the stars and remember:
--Strength and magnificence dwell in the soul.
