Magpie.

I watch on as a magpie feeds her newly born
On a post
just down the street
Knowing how vulnerable
She is, finding them something To eat

So clever is she, who hunts
For three, while the father watches on
from a neighboring tree

Just happy to be
Singing for the likes of she.
