Maiden

Maiden of the lilies, learn to breathe; and blaze a torch, the
Winds of love; for prairie smiles, a burning love; and dare
The earth—to capture hearts; and flood the soul—with ink
And arts; for godly love, the tears of sheep: asearch for
One: the flock asleep; and heart to soul, we die to love; and
Soul to heart, we thirst the Blood; and feel and fly, the wings
Of doves: a cultic light, a flaming love; and cryptic voice, a
Rapture drug: the face of wind: the knees of blood; and
Hands to earth, the palms of sweat: a vision heard: a secret
Kept; and lightning flame, the pangs of God: to seal the
Soul—by staff and rod; and biblic graph, a mind to flight:
A precious stone: the pearls of sight; and bend the light, the
Air to flex: a whisper soft: a soul to rest; for spoken wind,
The bush of flames: a sacred rite: a life of flame.
