Maisie’s monster-ous mouse

Maisie’s monster-ous mouse

Oh Mam’ma that is lovely as I tucked in my little lamb putting down her bedtime story book called “I am Sam-I-am”

The very next morning Maisie woke up with a sigh “Mam’ma I had an awful dream” she began to cry

“I think I saw a monster creeping up our stairs, it was when I was kneeling by my bed whispering my prayers”

“The greedy giant was very tall, his eyes were big & green, Mam’ma he was the scariest thing that I have ever seen”

“Oh my a scarey monster well there’s not much fear of that, I wonder if your dream was after I read about ‘Sam the cat”

Maisie looked at me with such a puzzled expression on her little face & then said “Mam’ma don’t be a silly-billy that lives in my book case”

“Maisie Monster’s are not real so you won’t see one in our house, the only animal that will creep in here may be a tiny mouse”

“Mam’ma I hope it does, you see monster’s are scared of a little mouse” She added “If I see another monster in my dream, it will not be in my house”
