Like The Manhattan Skyline
Eighty-Four Pins is my first collection of Poetry available now! Order on www.amazon.co.uk

For too long the pollution and the dust,
Had reflected from the glass,
Of these steel fortresses,
That stood in line,
A vast metropolis,
Intertwined,
With its chrome domes and marble pillars,
With colours that smear themselves,
Across the downtown sky at dusk,
For too long they’d burnt into his retina,
Right through every memory,
Every thought he’d ever had,
All those things that once made him sad,
Filled him up with missed opportunities and regret,
Thoughts he’d rather forget,
Pulsated like a heartbeat that skipped a beat in time,
Sprawled across his mind,
Like the Manhattan skyline.
