Poem -

maniacal dreamer

My heavy lidded eyes threaten closing
And forget how to open again
If I listen closely I can hear them
Singing, singing, singing

Voices make up lullabies to sing me
Are you strong enough to carry on?
Darling do you even know who you are?
Maddening, maddening

A blissful sunrise thrown into the sea
Ships veiled in black sails mourn wistfully
Shallow souls take, it's never again seen
Burning, burning, burning

If you knew my madness would you love me?
I wish we could dance away my pain
Carry me to find my maddened sunrise
Dreaming, dreaming, dreaming

Lashes dip to touch my cheek once again
Willfully I slip under anon
If I listen closely I can hear them
Singing, singing, singing

A very sensible and symbolic write, My applause. I love the below lines.

A blissful sunrise thrown into the sea
Ships veiled in black sails mourn wistfully
Shallow souls take, it's never again seen
Burning, burning, burning
