Poem -

mary

on a cozy beach in kerry -

was when my eyes first glanced at you -

hair as black as the night sky -

and you´re eyes of ocean blue

#

she told me her name was mary -

she had such a beautiful face -

o what a time , o what a moment -

o what a wonderful place -

#

mary makes my heart race -

i am totally lost in her -

hopeing this moment wont go away -

and that this will last forever -

#

i spent a week with mary -

and what a time we had -

but sadly our time had to end -

and everything was sad -

#

phone numbers are passed around -

so we can stay in touch -

o how i am going to miss mary -

dear god i love her so much

#

i was 18 when i met mary -

now 25 years have gone bye-

now and then i think of her -

i often ask myself why

#

mary dear where are you now -

do you ever think of me -

what a wonderful life we could have had-

so happy in tralee

#

but for us this did not happen -

so it´s better to forget -

but you will never leave my mind

all i have now are regret´s

the end

gone my hero

he looked at me with those eyes of blue
i knew he had something to say
a gentle smile...

hand to mouth at the kitchen table
empty chair,s for company
