Masc a poni

Masc a poni

don't care about masks..
masks I have to wear
for the last five months..
when we were scared,
we'd catch the bugs and
die..
Now they say we to wear
masks while shopping..
bloody hell, I've been inches
from those now passed,
what will I catch..
from browsing the isles..?
I've laughed in the face
of it and wrenched my
hands in motions vast..
and I have to wear..
a skimpy cloth mask..
that will save the world..
so I dutifully put on,
the mask of submission..
it's the same as my
permanent fixture..
a face of oppression
in this ' masquerade..'

at first I breathed like Darth Vada..then I got over it..I think it was the panic...and then some with Corona amongst us, and colleagues contracting it at work, two off the shift I worked with....I relaxed a bit...now it's almost complacency.....the young uns were only off work 2 weeks...then back.
