Mask of Love (Part 3)

Mask of Love (Part 3)

If you’re not a Christian can you really love?:
Ephesians 4:2 and John 15:12

If you are a man of what you say
Sacrifice your selfish life to save mine
That is what you should do
For you are to β€œlove others as [God] loved you”
Yet here you stand as the man who draws me away
So that I might stay at bay of entering gods kingdom
In one night you turned a flicker into a flickering flame flashing wildly
A flame that would survive the great flood
A flame that would survive in the Red Sea
A flame that would be so easy to see
Yet so easily hidden from one who does not try to look or understand
But remains authoritative making decisions and demands
On what grounds?
What have you done for me that I have asked or wanted
You were always late to pick me up till the point that you even gave up
Forcing me to walk on my own all alone for your own pleasure
But for a place that you can see where no one stays in anonymity but will bring pleasure to me
You always say no
You never let me go
But I can put that aside that didn’t really affect my life
But your definition of love is sour
Overtaken by your lust for power
Abusing it in vain as a coward
All we could was cowel in fear every time you came near
For it was you that we fear not the power you bear
For with power comes responsibility
A sense of justice in your conductivity
Yet you bear so much hostility in yours that we learned to close our doors and hide every time it was time for you to come home
When a man walks home he should be welcomed by his loved ones
But you have none as you pushed them all away
But there are those days where it seems you have changed
But in that second of delusion comes the useless confusion
Which ends with every man down except you
I fear for my mother, your wife, as every time you fight
I see a fire in you ignite
And knowing your prior behaviour, I’m ready to be my mother's saviour
And dash you to the ground in minutes
I don’t know how but it will be finished
A woman who has punished me sometimes more than you
But I know her reason and they are just and true
But a punishment from you has no place in my life
It will do me no good it’s like poisoned food
Just because it’s food does not mean it’s good
So take your food and eat your fill
And your mask of love to hide your zeal
Your will to kill your bastard begotten
Because the love you had you’ve already forgotten
