Poem -

May I Fawn: May I?

May I fawn and seize a soul: may I? Send a prompt: outline
A fantasy; for love is zeal; and zeal is love; and passion
Cries. Some type affect—a naked love; and some type
Majesty. Shall we: shall we rendezvous: near the coastline?

Such a flux: from love to hate; and hate to love. We color
Purple; and render grey. What rhythm: a woman’s gait; and
Such style: a cultured gesture; and I paint hearts, and
Scribble names. May I fawn: may I? Much to give: and

Much to live, my love!—the birth of dreams: the kiss of
Screams; and grip a soul—the pith of sparks; and tip a glass—
The toast of hearts; and flog a doubt: the sprout of wings; and
Live to fly—a thought to sing; and sit and pant; and pant and
Sit; and feel the pulse—a ghostly scent; indeed a rift—a sign
To grow; and waft and flit and flame and flow.
