Poem -

Maybe One Day

I'm looking at the suitcase in longing,
I feel it calling my name.
But instead I dress for work,
And in my head I'm thinking "maybe one day."

I listen to him speak,
He's telling me about his day.
And I smile and nod,
I don't say "I want to run away."

I sit in my chair and I watch the T.V,
The smile is painted on my face.
The Big Bang Theory is on,
But I'm dreaming of catching a plane.

I'm sitting on my bed,
Writing in my diary again.
And I'm writing of a life elsewhere,
And I'm thinking, "maybe one day."
