Melting into the night

Tonight the moon is blue
The River is melting in the dark
Summer never bloomed for me and you
We could not make it
Between the curtains and the cracks 
And prayers not to forsake it
Fading light turned to night
Someone had to break it.
There will be others days for me
I know their waiting
There will be other loves for me
I know their calling
The rivers melting in the dark
And  sweet tears are falling down
I just can't take it.
Its your love I need to find
And never break it.
The wind blew through 
your summer dress
The visions came into my mind
Children played in amber field
Songbirds followed from behind?
Other ones will try to 
 take your place
I know they will come near
But I will only see your face.

I only want you here 
When all times are through
And loves have passed on by
I will think once again of you
And wonder why
