I can bring you love,

like I can cause you pain.

I am a vivid reminder,

of what was and won't be again.

Although I'm always remembered,

I can sometimes slip your mind.

But I remain in your heart,

I'm never left behind.

I can bring you joy,

like I can bring you fear.

I can be inaccessible,

but can sometimes reappear.

Although I am a gift,

I am often taken for granted.

A record of a moment,

that was wonderful while it lasted.
