Memories

Whisper doth the waves
as they crash against the shore
Watching as the horses ride
on the white tipped crests
Racing to the beach
Upon the beach they rest
Sing doth the seagulls
that dive and soar and frolic
While you try and hide your chips
moving like an alcoholic.
Clip, clip goes the pincers of the hermit crab,
looking for some scraps
to sneakily nab
Toot toot goes the horn
of a ferry far out at sea
Bobbing on the open water
carrying people like you and me
Pat pat goes the spade
as it pats the sand real tight
Over goes the bucket
Oh my god what a sight
A perfect standing sandcastle
with four perfect towers on top,
a flag to catch the wind
and some pebbles finish the plot
Eating melting ice cream can be quiet funny
Especially when it melts and turns all runny
People laugh and jeer as your tongue flaps all about
trying to catch every last drop before it hits the ground
These are fond memories of when i went to the beach
The icing on the cake was the sunset at its peak
I loved the way the sea seemed to cool the sun
Then it dissipated below the ocean blue
blues mingled with the red then
then red turned to pure blue
Then it was gone!
