MEMORIES OF THE MEADOW

A walk through the meadow
The gentle wind did blow
Wild flowers grow
Colours as white as snow
Red as rubies
  Bluebells give fragrances so true
 Fresh green grass so new
After being asleep for the winter
 Now time to wake up
The beauty of nature
No need for make up
Red cherry lips
Cheeks so pink
Blue eyes
And golden hair
A sunrise
Branches reaching to link
Leaves kissing
Nothing missing
Birds singing
Beautiful skies
Stunning colours from butterflies
A babbling brook
A mother duck
And jumping fish
This is my dream
A perfect walk
It came true my summer wish

Hey Fiona
I've just had a walk and what you have described in that poem mirrors exactly what I saw. Almost as if you were walking there also. Very spooky indeed lol love it
